Scotland OGN End of Year Newsletter 2017

by Paul Bradley

Quick question!

Are you ready to shape Scotland’s new Open Government Action Plan?

We’re always told to end the year with a plan, and our early Christmas present to you is confirmation that the Scottish Government has committed to developing a new Action Plan in 2018.

As we wind down for the holidays, I wanted to get in touch to thank you for your support and input in 2017, as well as share our final newsletter for 2017. We’ve welcomed 138 new members since January, and whether you’ve taken part in events, forum discussions, interviews, profiles or simply lurked with interest, it’s been great to have you on board.

Scotland’s first action plan has set the foundations for this network and the next plan, the process of developing this, its content and how we monitor progress. I’m excited about where we’re heading next and working with you on the network, the next plan and other parts of the open government movement.

But the only thing you’re probably ready for now is Friday, and that’s okay! Forget about us for a couple of weeks and we’ll welcome you back in January refreshed and ready to build the next plan.

And if you *can’t* manage without us, have a think about how you would like to get involved in the open government movement in 2018. Even better, let me know!

I hope that all of you have a lovely holiday with family and friends.
