Aarhus, TTIP and Environmental Protection post-Brexit

To coincide with NI Environment Week, John Barry, Professor of Green Political Economy in the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy at Queens University Belfast, will explore the unknown landscape of a post Brexit UK. His presentation will attempt some informed ‘crystal ball gazing’ and present some ideas as to possible short and longer term impacts of Brexit on the transition from unsustainability in the UK and NI. Also, Paddy Woodworth, Irish Times journalist, Senior Lecturer at University College Dublin and author of Our Once and Future Planet, will take a look at examples of how environmental projects can be developed through real deliberative engagement with stakeholders and citizens.

The talk will be held on 29th September 2016, 9.45am-1pm at NICVA, Belfast.
