Open government is the simple but powerful idea that governments work better for citizens when they are transparent, participatory and accountable.

The UK Open Government Network is travelling up and down the country to collect your ideas and proposals for reforms that you think the UK Government should commit to on transparency, citizen participation and accountability.

Register for the workshops planned at the end of January
in Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol!

The ideas and proposals from the workshops will be fed into the discussions between the Network and the Government as part of the development of the 2018-2020 Open Government Action Plan.

You do not need to be an expert on open government – we are looking for interested and empassioned citizens, community groups and civil society organisations who want to have a say and offer their ideas on how government at a local, regional and national level could be done better and in a more open way.

Participate online: You can also make proposals and vote on existing ideas via our the OGN Forum or consultation site.
