The Northern Ireland Open Government Network (NIOGN) is an alliance of individual citizens, activists and representatives of community and voluntary organisations. Our aim is to contribute to delivering a more open, transparent, and accountable government that empowers citizens to shape decisions that impact on their lives.

In this online Annual General Meeting (AGM) we will hear from the NIOGN Board and keynote speakers on the state of open government and participatory democracy in Northern Ireland. We will also discuss the Open Government Strategy for Northern Ireland 2022 – 2027 and you can have your say on what changes you would like to see in your government.

Ultimately we want to build a more public-focused public service, with improved public participation, making the resources of government available, ultimately contributing towards the goal of improving the quality of life for everyone living and working in Northern Ireland.

This event is open to members and anyone who is interested in working to make governments more open, transparent and accountable to citizens.
