Open Government in Scotland workshop | Meeting notes
The Scottish Government, along with Northern Ireland and Wales, have agreed to make commitments in the UK’s new OGP Action plan.
The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations is therefore working with support from the UK Open Government Civil Society Coordinator to coordinate Scottish civil society input to the OGP plan and build the momentum around OGP action in Scotland. We genuinely think this is the next big agenda to secure serious change at Scottish, UK and international levels.
SCVO co-hosted a planning meeting on 21st October with a wide range of civil society and Scottish Government officials. The following pics are notes of the conversations captured on flip charts during the session. We would welcome your views and comments. To get involved, contact [email protected].
Thanks for these Ruchir and thank you to all of the participants. We got through a power of work, both on commitments and on the way we build a movement around open government in Scotland over the next couple of years. The immediate task, however, is to translate the work into actions and commitments for the NAP over the next few weeks. Is there any chance that these sheets will be typed up? You hoped they might be Ruchir, can you let me know today if they are so I can circulate to colleagues not yet on this network.
